Where’d You Go, Bernadette?

This Girl (Slammed # 3) by Colleen Hoover

I need a minute to process the best thing that ever happened today.

I know that This Girl will be released today, April 30th. But I wasn’t expecting that I’ll be able to read this shortly after its released date. I was surprised, and definitely speechless, when my cousin emailed me earlier today that he just downloaded a copy of This Girl. (I thank heavens for him. and for him getting a copy and whatever follows next.) I was so excited that I didn’t notice the attachment to his emailed. I was just so excited. Believe me.  I wasn’t myself.

Okay. This book did not disappoint me. Never. From start to finish, I cannot stop myself from reading. The book is still full of emotions. I was smiling like an idiot the whole time I’m reading this. Well, except for the parts where I’m holding back my tears because I would definitely look like an idiot smiling and crying at the same time. I don’t want to spoil whoever reads this by spilling all the details. But, please. Please do read the book if you have time. This won’t disappoint you.

So, this is me, saying goodnight because I’m re-reading This Girl because I just can’t get enough.

Happy reading, bookworm!

Slammed Series by Colleen Hoover

(Photo is not mine)

Slammed series by Colleen Hoover is, without any doubt, the best book I’ve ever read last 2012. This book is a perfect example of roller coaster of emotions — love, frustration, pain, laughter. Just like Hopeless, this one is written with passion. Too much emotion. Did I mention, I love Colleen Hoover’s writing? If not yet, I love her writing. As in love.

My favorite character? Kristen. Definitely Kristen. This kiddo is the smartest. She talks too mature for her age. And I love how she brought the fun in the story. I love Eddie too! For me she’s the older version of Kristen. And whenever Kristen and Eddie is in the same scene, it’s just too funny that I have to stop myself from reading for a few seconds.

Since the third book is about to be released in a few moments (and my cousin just emailed me a copy of it), I’m re-reading this two books to prepare myself. It’s not necessary to re-read the books to connect to the third book, but if you haven’t read these two books, please do read before reading the third. You’ll enjoy reading this series.

Happy reading, Bookworm!

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

This book is the reason why I love Colleen Hoover’s writing. The way she writes makes you feel like you’re part of the story. This book is one of my favorites. I’ve read this more than 5 times, but the emotions are still there. Raw. Intense. And heartfelt. It feels like I’m reading this for the first time again.

And I am definitely posting this one because I’m just so excited for the second book entitled Losing Hope. This time it’s going to be Holder’s POV. (Hooray for more Holder!) Reading a book from a man’s point of view is really romantic, cheesy and all the flowery words ever. Call me hopeless romantic, I don’t care. Reading happy and romance books makes me happy! 🙂

Sky: I’m not worried about us either. And for the record, I don’t believe in happily ever afters.

Holder: Good, because you’re not really getting one. All you’re getting is me.
